What is a bladder neck incision?

Bladder neck incision (BNI), sometimes called transurethral incision of the prostate (TUIP), is a small endoscopic procedure that relieves bladder outflow obstruction by making one or two cuts at the bladder neck and prostatic urethra rather than removing tissue. It is most commonly considered in younger men with smaller prostates.
