Minimally invasive surgical treatments (often called MIST) sit between medication and traditional surgery for an enlarged prostate. They are typically shorter procedures with a faster recovery than TURP or open surgery, and most preserve sexual function.

Each option works in a different way and suits a different prostate shape and size. The right choice depends on the assessment findings, symptom pattern and patient preference. iTind A temporarily implanted nitinol device that reshapes the prostatic urethra. Removed after a short period. Rezum Water vapour (steam) therapy that reduces obstructing prostate tissue. UroLift Small permanent implants that hold enlarged prostate tissue away from the urethra. Hybrid (Laser + UroLift) A combined laser and UroLift approach for selected larger or more complex prostates.
