What the service is
Urology NSW has men's health pharmacists who work as part of Dr Kooner's clinic. Their job is to help patients understand and manage a wide range of men's health concerns alongside their urology care, with information and practical support that fits each person's situation.
The pharmacist is not a replacement for the doctor. Any medication is only used after review by Dr Kooner or the referring specialist. The pharmacist works inside that plan.

What an appointment is like
A typical appointment is a structured one-to-one discussion. The pharmacist:
- Reviews your current treatment plan.
- Answers questions about medications and devices.
- Where needed, demonstrates how to prepare and use a treatment, step by step.
- Provides written information so you can refer to it at home.
For injection-based treatments, the first session is usually the longest. Follow-up sessions are shorter and focus on adjusting the dose, troubleshooting, and managing any side effects.
Things to bring
- A list of all current medications, including over-the-counter or complementary products.
- Any relevant referral letters, imaging, or recent pathology results (for example PSA results).
- Any questions you would like to cover during the appointment.
